Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Following her small debut part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) She went on to play the Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was invited by a photographer, and began to model. Then she began a career of commercial modelling. Doody strictly avoided the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity when she was modeling. Having come to the attention of the director who cast the upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody had just turned 18 when she was given the character of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was unspoken as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias when she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation to The Secret Garden. Doody was Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part to date as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named the Hitler Diaries. In 2011, she started the second season on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
